Hello! I’m Taj, an aspiring crafts designer-maker based in the UK's south-west whose work belongs at the intersection of tradition, geometry, and technology.Using wood as my primary medium, I aim to bring my complex designs to life.

As both a CAD/CAM independent user and hands-on woodworker, I value precision and tactility in equal measure. I'm motivated by the process of translating timeless design systems into modern forms using digital fabrication techniques.My practice is investigative - I care for the integrity of process, the authenticity of tradition, and the potential of geometry to evoke aesthetic quality.
Using CAD software, I develop scalable designs that can be flattened, engraved, and reassembled into volumetric forms. Each of my pieces begin with mathematical exploration and move through a highly detailed design-to-fabrication process.Laser cutting and CNC techniques allow me to achieve a high degree of accuracy, while hand-finishing and physical assembly bring a human touch to each object.
